Bread is just the start. As part of our commitment to local agriculture, the bakery produces a seasonal series of pastries, starting with Rhubarb and Strawberry Tart, and progressing through organic raspberries, blueberries, peaches to apples and pumpkin throughout the growing season. There are days when we rush the fresh fruits to the bakery and you can find them in our tarts, scones and other baked delights within a day of the harvest. We use seasonal produce in our artisan sandwiches and salads as well.
Oh, and our croissants. Time and again, we hear you say “these are the best in Vancouver”, “they are better than Paris” and of course, “may I have another; they are so good!” Simple ingredients (organic flour, butter from grass fed cows, and Tanya’s uniquely developed leavening culture) provide for a flaky layered croissant. Our Pain au Chocolat only leaves you wanting more.
